Street Practice: Episode 1

In the last year of their degree, Legal students try their hand at real cases for the first time. In a few short weeks at Kingsford Legal Centre the students are getting a confronting insight into a world far removed from university life. They are not just learning about the law - they are learning about life.

Ep 1 - After a lightning fast induction from the KLC legal staff, the students are suddenly manning phones and interviewing clients face-to-face at the front line of a busy practice that deals with around 3000 disadvantaged clients every year. KLC's run down demountable surrounded by graffiti and rubbish soon proves a very different world from the leafy campus of the University of NSW.
